The band "4 This Cause" participated in our first ever Reaching Out - Autism Awareness Concert. Jesse Reynolds of 4 This Cause took a few minutes to answer some questions for us.
River of Life Amphitheater: Where did the name "4 This Cause" come from?
Jesse Reynolds: Our name came from the text Ephesians 3: 14 For This Cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
ROL AMP: Who is in your group and how did you guys meet/come together?
Jesse: Jesse Reynolds, Ron Sowers, Aaron Bledsoe, Heath Harper, Nathan Saylor. I grew up with Aaron and we graduated high school together his dad is also my first cousin. Ron and I have been friends along time and our parents our neighbors, Ron's dad and mom and my mother sang in a traveling Gospel quartet called The Revelator's for about 25 years singing all over Ohio. We are a lot closer now that we have gotten a little older and consider him one of my closest friends. Heath's Father and I are first cousin's and we have went to church together since he was little, Nathan was Heath's friend and I just recently had met him around July when he started playing music with us. I got all the guys together for a youth night service that i was singing at and we just kind of started playing and getting books... We joked that we were the Jesse Ford Experiment becasue we had all come over to hear Rick May at your church one night and they (Marty Ford Experience) were playing....Then we sat down and all decided we were dedicated to see what could happen if we kept playing for Christ.
ROL AMP:: What has been your group's "best" moment so far?
Jesse: Autism Awareness Concert of course!!!! LOL (Also) seeing people walk the isle while we play music is truly magnificent.
ROL AMP: Worst?
Jesse: Having Old ladies cover there ears and people who dont agree with our style of music has been the worst especially in the smaller churches.
ROL AMP: What's the ultimate, best case scenario goals for "4 This Cause"?
Jesse: Our ULTIMATE goal like any band is to play music for a living for Christ and see people get help.
ROL AMP: Though the concert was moved inside, how was your experience with the "Reaching Out" concert?
Jesse: It was awesome (and) the experience was great! Thanks again we had a blast! Hopefully we will continue to get better and you all can have us back again.
ROL AMP: Thank you for your time! We enjoyed hearing you play.
